These group walks are different types of wellness walks where nature is the teacher and the group leader guides the process through knowledge of the natural areas, experiential invitations, and group dynamics. Walks take place at forests, parks and gardens in the Raleigh / Wake County NC area. There are three sets of walks at three different locations/series.:
Shinrin-Yoku (AKA “forest bathing”) walks are 2-hour strolls with minimal movement and maximal sensory experience – a real grounding and connecting (with your authentic self) experience. Each SPRING and FALL there are three series of 3-walks/series (each series on consecutive Saturday mornings. Participants who want to learn this practice for themselves, to do on their own, are encouraged to attend all 3 series, for a total of 9 sessions. Each series is fee-based and enrolled in separately. These walks are offered every Spring and every Fall in the Raleigh, NC/Wake County area.
