Step #2: Releasing negative thoughts and feelings
So, for the exhale there are two ways to release the negative energy. The first way is to think, then exhale. For example, I think “I release all fear” and then follow this with a powerful exhale (yes, anyone around you will think that you’re in horrible physical shape). And, the second (much more powerful) way is to whisper-speak the words as part of the exhale. For example, I softly (but audibly) speak “I release all doubt” as part of my out-breath. In days gone by folks might have labeled you as crazed walking around and talking to yourself, but in the current world of cell phones and Bluetooth headsets, you will fit in just fine! So every few breaths release your clogs, your unwanted thoughts and feelings, out into the world. Not every exhale need be a release, but every few breaths or whenever you find your mind wandering, refocus on your breathing and out-breath release.
