Moving Away (cold!) or Moving Towards (hot!)
Examples of Hot versus Cold
Or, if you want to show up in your marriage as deeply committed, yet you don’t plan couple time together and most of your interactions with your spouse are yelling fests – you just might crash and sink on an iceberg!
We start the melt, the getting-warmer moments, when we check in with ourselves and ask – “if I do this, does it move me in the direction of my values?” If it’s a “yes,” then we want to take that step. But, if it’s a “no,” then we want to stop in our tracks and do an about-face. We can say that we’re acting in integrity when our words (stated values) match our behaviors (actions).
