When Texting is Better than Talking
We’ve all heard too much about the horrors of texting and driving, albeit at my age I’d be more guilty of scribbling-on-a-piece-of-paper while driving, or daydreaming while driving – all of which are distractions. But there’s also a place where texting should get a good rap …
I remember on my dad’s 90th birthday, sending a text to his cell phone wishing him a “Happy Birthday” in the morning, before calling him later that day. It was the first text that he’d ever received, and at that time (although he’s still sharp as a tack), he really wasn’t quite sure about how it all worked.
You're Never Too Old
So, for us, texting isn’t a distraction; but a much needed, much appreciated connection.
